We are in a pressing time. A time to be toppled over or to be pressed down, shaken up, and overflowing. Life is uncertain right now, I have no clue what tomorrow brings, but I do know one thing, God is still God.
God is good, no matter what. Bad things happen because sin has invaded this world and we will reap the consequence. Jesus paid the price for us to know Him eternally and we need to be walking in that eternity, even when sin, death, and pain look us in the face.
As we face each day we have to choose, give in to despair or to wake up, pray for peace and hope, and keep going. You don't need the answers to everything, at least it is healthy to tell yourself that, because right now you won't get all the answers, so facing the truth in a positive light is best.
Are you a person that will crumble? Will your faith become an old memory because of the chaos? I know I have faced moments in my life where I thought I would crumble. When the people of Israel were enslaved by Egypt did they quit? When the Holocaust happened did Judaism die? NO! I tell myself, NO!
Faith is not based on circumstances but on who God is. He is the God who created everything we know, he is also the God who had the power to destroy it all too. God is Holy, He is Glory, He is real.
The God I serve is a God of integrity and wisdom, love and power. He is full of abundant grace and wrath and we are somehow bathing in his grace daily. He has not quit on us but calls us to war. Our minds will become the battlefield before the ground ever will. We need to rethink how we are viewing the world.
God gives wisdom in abundance to those who seek it. Will you seek it? Will you speak out? You are not invincible because you know the invincible God. You are a flawed human following a perfect God. He has the peace, rest, wisdom, finance, teaching ability and patience you need.
A war has been waged and our faith is going to be challenged harder than ever. Meeting together isn't practical right now, that does not mean you can not communicate. Reach out to the people around you through phone calls, video chats, and, I can't believe I am saying this, social media. Right now social media needs to be a lifeline of encouragement and communication to the people we love, not a place of misinformation and hate.
Pray! Ask for wisdom, ask for peace of mind, ask for contentment in your confinement. And if you get sick ask for strength and hope. Do not give up, God's word is still true, we need our perspectives to change.
Will you crumble and lose your faith or keep going? I ask because I have crumpled before. I have lost hope in the past because I got lost in my own mind. I want accountability, I want others to know that my flesh is weak but my spirit is willing.
Most of all we need to pray. Pray for faith. A faith that will not waver no matter what comes! We need to take the future of our faith seriously and seek God. We need to communicate with each other, but most of all, have faith.
For scriptures, encouragement, and more head over to our Instagram. There will be new posts periodically throughout our time of being shut in, so don't miss out.
